The results of this survey will assist in developing the 2024-2025 District Improvement Plan, as well as each school’s School Improvement Plan. Your input is vital to us. The School Social Work Association of Georgia (SSWAG) recently held its annual conference from March 27-29, with the theme of "RISE UP! with Resiliency and Professional Efficacy." On March 28, Mitchell County School System’s District MCSS Social Worker Mrs. Karen Menefee and Decatur County District Social Workers Mrs. Tia Williams and Mr. Recarlo Williams delivered a presentation titled "Navigating Rural School Social Work". The focus of the presentation was on how School Social Workers promote cultural diversity and inclusion, connect resources, advocate, and uphold ethical standards for school districts.
